Tip of the week: the days of the week in Spanish.

Days of the week in Spanish are easier to remember because they are related to planets like some English days (Monday – Moon):

Monday = Lunes – Luna (Moon)

Tuesday = Martes – Marte

Wednesday = Miércoles – Mercurio

Thursday = Jueves – Jupiter

Friday = Viernes – Venus

Saturday = Sábado – Saturno

Sunday = Domingo – Dominus (the Lord in Latin)

Esta semana estoy muy ocupado, ¡tengo clases todos los días de la semana! Lunes, Martes, Miércoles, Jueves, Viernes, Sábado y Domingo. Usualmente tengo libre los Domingos, pero no esta semana porque mi alumno sólo puede tener clase el Domingo. Pero me gusta mi trabajo y vamos a divertirnos aprendiendo Español.

This week I am very busy, I have classes every day of the week! Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I usually have Sundays off, but not this week because my student can only have class on Sunday. But I like my work and we are going to have fun learning Spanish.
